Hi! I think that depends on the person! Some people thrive in a busy workplace and others don't. But that said, from my experiences of visiting and working in our offices in Toronto and Carpinteria, yes, it is fun! I'm a remote employee who usually requires a quiet and low-key environment to be productive. Heading into an office for a change of pace every now and then is great though. It's great to see other Procore employees, share lunches (and snacks!) with them, and participate in any on-site events that might be happening. From what I have seen with most of our offices, they are designed thoughtfully with lots of different spaces where people can work in open-air areas with a bunch of people, or more remote, smaller spaces where people like me can get the quiet they need.
My favourite experiences when I have visited our Carpinteria office have been the petting zoo that came onsite and I got to cuddle bunnies during my lunch (it was an animal rescue org) and being able to take walks along the trails on the bluffs looking over the ocean. Pretty sweet! The best part, honestly, is always walking around and being able to talk to people in real life who I've only ever chatted with over Slack or Zoom!
