For context, I loved my years in Hotel Construction & Design, and continue to stay close to my passions in Real Estate. My interest led me to become the Austin lead for U.S. PropTech Council! I'm excited about applying 8 years of corporate strategy experience in an industry I want to help progress.

Hi Atisha,
Great question! Honestly, the answer to that is no! Our employees come from all kinds of different career backgrounds--some from construction related industry and others from everything else! But the cool thing about construction is that it is so easy to connect with. For some of us, we have family members who are (or were) in construction, so maybe it holds that special place for us, and for others, the more we learn about the industry, we begin to have that interest and passion. We have a ton of internal learning and development resources and training for employees to really help us understand and empathize with our customer base, which is pretty cool, so that for folks like myself who don't come from construction and walk through the door on the first day with that passion, we have the opportunity to build it.
