We definitely see this overlap! We have a good number of employees who have come from construction that were customers/users in the past. They have gone into all kinds of different roles, ranging from sales, pre-sales, customer success, product marketing, learning and development, and even on to our technical teams. The key for these folks is that they were able to identify how experiences and strengths of theirs aligned with opportunities and business needs here at Procore, while leveraging their valuable construction background.

How does Procore intially "scan" resumes ie. key words matching to job description? I have experience in software sales, however I am currently a Procore User, so I feel like its a perfect fit. It's difficult to convey this, so I simply write this in my executive summary. It that the best way to get short listed? Thank you!

Hi Tim,
We use an Applicant Tracking System, like most companies do. It helps us to gather and organize candidates. A recruiter's approach will depend on the volume of applications that come in. While our team strives to review every application that comes in manually, it can be overwhelming when there are 500+ applicants to a single role. That's when being able to leverage the ATS tools for things like scanning are helpful.
I would suggest that adding in your Procore experience in your executive summary is a great idea, as that brings that key detail to the forefront. Just make sure that below in your experiences you are connecting to where you used Procore, so that they can see the legitimacy of your statement.
