I would recommend you first figure out which role interests you more. We have both options here at Procore but the roles look very different. I have seen collegues switch both ways, AE -> CSM or CSM -> AE. It all depends on the skills you feel most confident in and what you want your day to day to look like. I personally prefer being more technical with clients in terms of product adoption and process improvement so I prefer the CS roles. Knowing the industry given experience in construction tech would make you a beneficial add to either team!
