How should the "Message to Hiring Manager" section of the application be filled out?
Additional information
Is it more favorable to paste in a traditional cover letter for the hiring manager, or should this section be used for a more customized personal note?

Hello! In the "Message to Hiring Manager" section, you can focus on expressing your genuine interest in the role and why you want to work at Procore. Highlight key skills, experiences, or achievements that align with the job description.

Thank you for your response. Would you recommend using a traditional cover letter format, copied, and pasted into the block or do you believe that a more custom message approach, is more personal and a better option?

Hi Chris!
Honestly, either approach works well! The most important aspect is the content, not the format. As Elizabeth notes, it's your chance to make an extra case on how your skills, experiences, and strengths align with the role, or you can dive into your interest in the role and Procore. Do your best to be concise and clear, while giving that extra insight that might not be seen on your resume.
Good luck!
Melissa
