Hey there! The interview process for an SE role at Procore typically involves multiple stages:
Initial Chat with a Recruiter: This first round is a conversation with a recruiter. They’ll help you understand the role and the overall interview process, ensuring it’s a good match for you.
Interview with the Hiring Manager: Next, you’ll talk with the person who will be your manager. This stage assesses your alignment for the team and the role.
Finalist Group & Demonstration: If you get past the hiring manager, you move into the finalist group. Here, you’ll be asked to prepare a demonstration. The topic can vary but usually involves demoing Procore software. There will be a panel evaluating your soft skills, presentation abilities, understanding of the topic and industry.
Tips for Preparation:
Get Certified: Head to learn.procore.com and get certified. This not only boosts your knowledge of the Procore product and platform but also gives you a badge to flaunt on LinkedIn, setting you apart from other candidates.
Practice Demoing: Watch SEs online (YouTube is great for this), study their presentation styles, particularly their tell, show, tell approach. Practice your demos on anyone who will listen. I used to practice on my infant daughter! Record yourself and watch it back to improve.
Demo2Win! Course: This course made a huge difference for me. Demo2Win! is the industry standard. Completing this course and adding the certification badge to your LinkedIn profile can attract attention from hiring managers.
Final Advice:
Be patient. It might take a couple of tries, but don’t give up. It’s an amazing job and worth the effort.
Hope this helps, and good luck with your interview!

Hi TJ thank you so much for your in-depth response it means a lot! I recently did acquire a certificate from ProCore and I have heard of Demo2Win but was unsure how helpful it would be but from the sounds of it I'll have to acquire a certification from them as well. Again thank you so much for the advice!
